For a big part of my life , I believed I was ” healthy ” .
Health for me was measured by how much exercise I was doing , if I was ” sticking ” to an eating regime albeit a good or not so good one , how thin I was or the number on the scale YET these days , after a long battle with Eating Disorders and a harsh / unforgiving treatment of self it seems my definition of health has changed greatly . 💕💕
You see , there are actually 4 parts to us … an EMOTIONAL body , MENTAL body , SPIRITUAL body and PHYSICAL body .
When talking health , most people would gravitate to only working with the physical ☺️
So , now ” HEALTH” for me is so much greater than what I see in front of the mirror .
HEALTH – is how joyful do you feel in your everyday life
HEALTH – is how much energy ( not the caffeinated sort 😜😜) do you have throughout your day
HEALTH – is how often do you listen to what your body needs re food , rest , water , exercise
HEALTH – is incorporating yoga or meditation to enjoy peace within your heart and mind
HEALTH- is being kind to yourself
HEALTH – is ACCEPTANCE of exactly who you are – flaws and all
HEALTH- is connection with others
HEALTH – is being grateful for what your body does not what it looks like
